I bet they dont'realizer they have such rude and unfriendly staff in their restaurant which could very well be costing them business. The small local restaurants are hurting during the financial crisis and they really need every customer to stay afloat. Don't think of your complaint as just a vent, think of it as helping out a business owner.

and man you are doing so well! Way to go for eating out and keeping it healthy.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3100402253905622520.post-35728390233906109852010-03-13T11:41:38.728-05:002010-03-13T11:41:38.728-05:00She was for sure out of line, but I'm not thin...She was for sure out of line, but I'm not thin, but nobody would every think anything of my size and happen to be a picky eater -- I 've had people treat me rudely because of menu changes too so I don't think that had anything to do with your size.Kylehttp://www.kylehepp.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3100402253905622520.post-65086298655853035602010-03-13T09:19:05.523-05:002010-03-13T09:19:05.523-05:00Okay, first off she was out of line, wheatever you...Okay, first off she was out of line, wheatever you're ording she should be adult enough to keep her feelings to herself.

Secondly, the reason she felt the need to do the eyeroll she never should have done, probabaly had nothing to do with size. When I was in service at Disney and we had special orders all we had to do was put 'see server' on the recipt to the food section and talk to them about it. The restaurant you went to probably has a computer system in place where you have to put all the substitutions in separately at the terminal, so it takes her an extra minute. This means you would have gotton her bad attitude regardless of being fat/thin/somewhere inbetween.

It's a server's job to take orders, whatever they may be, and bring out food. If she's going to cop an attitude about it then she's in the wrong business. The Fat Foreignerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07604719837186012000noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3100402253905622520.post-23736855600348766982010-03-13T07:55:10.881-05:002010-03-13T07:55:10.881-05:00Oh man, I'm sorry that woman was so rude. Wha...Oh man, I'm sorry that woman was so rude. What's even more dumb is that any changes you make don't affect HER, it's a change for the cook/chef. And to be honest, you were making it easier on them by wanting LESS on your sandwich!

My husband is a new diabetic, and I've had to be very direct at places, asking about sugar, carbs, etc. We've mostly had helpful experiences, but that's not to say we always will. You just take it with a grain of salt, I guess, and know that even if that waitress does an eye-roll, you did what was best for you (and you'll probably never have to deal with her again after this interaction!).Tealehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01994083331228276203noreply@blogger.com
