Out of Control

Life is a little out of control right now, right after Christmas we started a little construction project at our home which turned into a nightmare. Then on Sunday night my husband was in a bad car accident. He will be okay, thank God, but it has left me a little out of control. My scale is lost in construction dust and my kitchen is not usable because everything from my family room and guest bathroom is in the kitchen. I have been making the wisest choices possible but stress has gotten the best of me a few times and my exercise schedule is toast. I should have a new vehicle for my husband and my insurance battles won by Friday. Construction is slated to be done on Sunday. I look forward to being completely back on track on Monday 1-12-08. Until then, I am doing my best. Happy New Year to you all!

  2. New to your blog. I hear you! I am a stress eater all the way. This year I have moved 3 times and am the heaviest I have ever been in my life. I am learning to deal with stress through exercise and diet coke instead of ice cream and Doritos. I really hope everything works out and your construction goes well.

  3. Glad to hear that your husband will be ok - and hey, at least you recognize the stressors in your life...that's half the battle! Hang in there!

  4. Sorry to hear about all the stressful things going on for you right now. I hope that it clears up soon. We all know what it feels like and totally understand. Just take it one day at a time and don't forget to breathe every now and then :) Glad to hear that your husband is OK.

  6. Glad your hubby is okay. That is the main thing. Don't worry about the food thing until your kitchen is back in order! Give you're self a break, it sounds like you might need it.

  9. This is one of those times you just do the best you can while still taking care of yourself. There is no race to get to a certain point by a certain time and so a slow down isn't the end all. You sound like you are keeping sane and just taking the punches as they come. I hope things simmer down a bit for you!
